ALCESTER residents will have to go further to dump their rubbish from February 16.
The Burton Farm household waste site, near Bishopton, will be closed for a five-month revamp, including the addition of a user-friendly recycling centre.
Warwickshire County Council said a one-way system would be introduced to ease congestion around the site and a shop opened to sell goods brought to the centre for re-use.
Meanwhile, the closest waste site in Warwickshire is at the Princes Drive recycling centre on the A452 opposite the Ford Foundry in Leamington Spa.
