The Community College in Bishop's Castle is celebrating the success of one of its students, Christopher Rimmer.
Christopher has become the first student from the school to win a Shropshire Schools cross-country event for at least 25 years.
Christopher broke away from the rest of the field in the second lap of the three lap race and won in a winning time of 19mins 36secs.
Christopher has been selected for the English Schools Championship to be held in Brighton in March and also an inter-county meeting in Cheshire next month.
