Thieves broke in to Morgam News in High Street, Alcester, on Saturday and stole hundreds of pounds worth of cigarettes.
Alcester police think the offenders entered the shop via the back door and may have spotted the door code being entered by workers beforehand.
Officers are now studying CCTV footage.
