AN Alcester High School teenager is cooking up a successful future as a chef thanks to a Warwickshire County Council initiative.
Nelson Mansfield, 15, from Bidford, is one of 1,200 youngsters in Warwickshire benefiting from the South Warwickshire Initiative For Training (SWIFT).
The programme means Nelson spends one day a week away from his GCSEs at Alcester High School, working towards a NVQ Level 1 in food preparation and cooking at Stratford College.
