Evesham Ladies 0 Tenbury Ladies 2
TENBURY ladies continued their good form with a well-deserved victory at Evesham.
Tenbury dominated the opening stages of the first half with midfielders Rach-el Croxton and Kate George dominant in their roles.
Tenbury earned several corners and eventually opened their account with an awesome strike from Olivia Linton.
Evesham counter-attacked with a strong run down the right flank but Tenbury defender Jo Croxton coolly dispossessed the forward with some great tackling.
In the second half Tenbury should have sealed the game in the early stages but were unable to find the finishing touch to several attacking breaks. Nikki Edwards and Becki Toone worked hard on the right flank trying to break through Evesham's awful tackling attempts.
Emma Hillhouse sealed the game late on with a classy chip over the oncoming keeper. Debutant, Dawn Davies, settled in well in her role on the left wing.
Player of the match was Rachel Croxton whose work rate was phenomenal.
