ALCESTER Infants School has been singled out for praise by Government officers after receiving 'outstanding' inspection reports.
The Ofsted inspection, carried out last year at the Moorfield Road school, classed the school as 'happy and challenging'.
Alcester Infants is one of only two primary schools in the county recognised as a 'good school' in the report.
The results are a major turnaround from five years ago when the school was placed on the special measures list after an Ofsted report in 1998 said standards were not satisfactory.
