A LUNCH at a Lickey park was just one of the highlights of a whistle-stop tour by the new Bishop of Birmingham.
Parishioners were delighted to welcome the Right Rev John Sentamu to Lickey.
He visited the churches in the parish, as well as the language department of Lickey Hills Primary School in Old Birmingham Road.
This was followed by lunch at the Lickey Hills Visitors Centre, where members of the Holy Trinity Church, Lickey and St Catherine's Church joined him.
The visit was part of the tour of Kings Norton Deanery as the bishop sets out to get to know the entire diocese. He was inaugurated in November.
Speaking before the arrival of Dr Sentamu, Rev Philip Swan, of Holy Trinity Church in Rosehill, said: "We are so pleased to be welcoming the new Bishop for Birmingham, Dr John Sentamu. Already he has created a sense of excitement, expectancy and challenge."
