IF OUTSTANDING exam results and a citizenship award were not enough, a Rednal school has now netted an exceptional Ofsted report.

Lickey Hills Primary School is celebrating three in a row after receiving their best ever Ofsted report.

It follows a recent Investors in People award and the school's best ever standard assessment test (SAT) results.

Ofsted's report highlighted the quality of teaching and the children's attitudes and behaviour.

The relationship between management staff and governors at the Old Birmingham Road school was also highly commended.

School chair of governors Mike Gallagher said: "We are all delighted with the report. It reflects the hard work of the staff, children and parents who work together to make Lickey Hills Primary such a good school.

"I am personally very pleased that the inspectors noted the good relationships we have at the school because we believe all children learn best when they are in an enjoyable atmosphere.

"We hope we can continue to go from strength to strength."

The report praises the school in all aspects, although suggests there is further scope for allowing children to work independently and use their own initiative. Inspectors also noted that parents would like to see more reports on their children's progress.
