TOTS at a town school put their taste buds to the test with a selection of Oriental delicacies to mark Chinese New Year.
Prawn crackers, noodles and rice were just a few of the dishes youngsters at The Mount School got to grips with in a week-long celebration of the Year of the Ram.
Five lucky tots were also selected to visit a Chinese restaurant to enjoy a traditional meal and even master the art of eating with chopsticks.
Headteacher Jane Stowe and teacher Heidi Cook accompanied the children to the Summer Palace restaurant in Redditch.
"Taking the children to a Chinese restaurant was a first for the school but we wanted them to enjoy a proper meal in traditional surroundings and served by native people," said Mrs Stowe.
The creative youngsters also made Chinese-style decorations and dressed up in typical clothes.
