OUR annual New Year's social event went off with a bang when a certain member spilt wine everywhere, causing chaos and laughter before our chairman Pauline could welcome everyone and wish them a happy New Year. An excellent buffet was followed by a fascinating slide show and talk about the Three Beer Houses in Cutnall Green by Bob Butcher, former owner of The Live and Let Live. Of all the thousands that once existed in the country, it is hard to believe that three should exist in Cutnall Green and very few anywhere else in the country.
Wednesday, February 26, is our AGM with a glass of wine followed by a talk from Phil Morley from the Royal Garden Benevolent Society. Visitors are always welcome and we have a busy year ahead.
