DEAR EDITOR - My thoughts having seen the recent demolition of the bell tower at the Worcestershire Hotel in Droitwich.
The day the Bell Tower came down,
People stopped and watched in town.
Part of history, lifted high,
The rest a wreck condemned to die.
At the bus stop biding time,
People gazed as they stood in line.
"Such a waste" someone said,
But like the Phoenix, it will rise from the dead.
