DEAR EDITOR - Recent Bromsgrove letters about wheel clamping have bemused Droitwich readers. But do Spa residents realise they have the same in store?

Parking will be decimated as Waitrose is built over existing car parks. Planners ignored recommended parking quotas, allowing the Worcestershire flats to go ahead, stating overspill vehicles can use surrounding residential roads.

The new Whittingham House complex does not include on-site parking for its office workers, who will also park nearby.

Bidders for the lido all state many extra car spaces are needed if it is developed.

Councillors claim credit for extra visitors these projects will attract. With parking reduced, those with private spaces will defend them aggressively. Speculators will buy up vacant lots and charge dearly to park on them. Wheel clampers will grab the opportunity and hold Droitwich motorists to ransom.

Our Spa is the next Klondike for these gold diggers. Order your pushbike now!
