WASELEY United have resigned from the Advertiser/Messenger Football League after struggling to meet player requirements.
The Rubery-based side were finding it hard to raise 11 players each week and decided it was time to withdraw from the competition after losing all of their 11 games. All records of their games have been expunged.
Elsewhere, a season of shocks in the Advertiser/Messenger Football League continued last Sunday when Bromsgrove Town were dumped out of the Bridgwater Cup at the quarter-final stage with a 3-1 home defeat by Cofton Falcons.
In division one, Rob Smith's brace moved Sporting Harborne back up the table following a lean period as they beat Victoria Barnt Green 2-1.
Meanwhile, Rovers Sunday Reserves cruised to a 5-1 win at Barley Mow in division two with Brett Smith scoring twice.
In division three, Stuart Norgrove and Michael Ash both secured braces as Stourport Town won 5-2 at Blackcross while the Crown Inn made it 11 wins from 11 as Star and Garter were disposed 4-0, featuring another hat-trick for striker Ryan Fessey.
