A LIFETIME of work by Redditch artist Norman Neasom went on show at the weekend at Forge Mill Museum.

It is the first time a major exhibition of Mr Neasom's work has been held in his home town and to celebrate, his former pupil, the renowned cartoonist Terry Parkes (aka Larry), was on hand to open it.

Mr Parkes said Mr Neasom's work was now famous throughout the country, adding he felt privileged to open the exhibition.

Mr Neasom thanked those who attended the opening and mayor Steve Wheeler also paid his respects to the 87-year-old artist.

The exhibition, organised by Bracebridge Fine Art of Astwood Bank and sponsored by Martin and Pethard Insurance Brokers, features watercolours, sketches, maps and models by Mr Neasom.

The display runs until March 16.
