THE Redditch Partnership has been re-launched after members admitted a shake-up was needed to achieve their goals.

The partnership is made up of representatives from Redditch Council, Worcestershire Health Authority, West Mercia Police, NEW College, the Chamber of Commerce and other organisations.

A council spokesman said the group had updated its structure and objectives in a drive to become more action-led.

It is hoped the new partnership will be the driving force behind the delivery of the 2003 Redditch Community Strategy.

The re-launch took place as representatives from public and private organisations with a stake in the 2003 Redditch Community Strategy helped shape the final document at a 20:20 Vision event.

Partnership members and other delegates used the findings from a major consultation campaign last year to consider ways to improve the economic, environmental and social well being of the borough by 2020.

The final consultation document is expected to be published in March.
