BIRMINGHAM City ladies manager Marcus Bignot says teenage ace Eni Aluka has the talent to be in the England squad for the European Championships in England in two years.

The 15-year-old has been terrorising defences up and down the land on her debut top flight season and has added goalscoring to her repertoire.

Aluka would be following in the footsteps of clubmate Laura Bassett who has been called up for one England squad as well as a winter training camp.

Hope Powell announces her squad for a friendly against Italy on Friday and Bassett will be hoping for a call.

England face Italy at Viareggio, near Pisa, as part of the 55th World Tournament of Viarregio on Tuesday, February 25.

Blues became the latest team to run all-conquering Fulham close at the weekend before succumbing to a 2-1 win despite Aluka's equaliser.

And Bignot wants four points from his side's next three league matches to boost their survival bid.

Birmingham face Leeds United and Doncaster Belles (twice) after the small matter of a home FA Cup quarter final against Charlton on Sunday (ko 1pm).

Bignot is without keeper Melanie Ramsdale through work commitments, winger Jodie McGuckin is out for three weeks awaiting a knee scan and stopper Sarah Dunne is out for six weeks with a suspected broken ankle.
