Redditch's Vicky Brady has been selected for the England U17s squad at the FENA championships in March.

Vicky plays goal attack, and found herself elevated this year.

She has been fast-tracked from playing at U16 level both in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire and impressed the England coach Lyn Gunson when she was invited to attend a two day workshop at University of Bath.

Vicky trained with Sheila Perks at a very young age and played for Worcestershire U16s.

She was part of a successful squad which was unbeatable for two years.

Vicky still plays locally for her coach and team B J Truesteppers, but training sessions for England have prevented her from playing on a regular basis on Sunday fixtures.

Much more recently Vicky has been invited to play for 'Team Bath' - part of the Super Cup League which provides an opportunity for talented players to compete at a high level and develop their individual Talent.

Best wishes to Vicky from Worcester City Netball League and we look forward to her playing locally with her team mates at B J Truesteppers in the Summer.

B J Truesteppers have been promoted to the First Division of WCNL after a successful summer season.

KINGSLEY Sports Centre is running a netball umpiring course on Saturday, March 29.

The bridging course leads to the Netball Umpires Certificate and anyone interested must be over 16 and have experience of playing.
