REDDITCH tennis ace Pauline Fisher cleaned up at the National Indoor Veterans Championships in Brierley Hill, winning the singles and teaming up with Shirley Fox for the doubles.

The 50-year-old bounced back after the disappointment of losing in the national final of the Britannic Asset Management Family Tennis Challenge for the second successive year.

Fisher and teenage daughter Katherine lost out to Surrey's Barbara and Danielle Snapes - the mother and daughter who beat them to a holiday in La Manga, Spain last year.

Pauline was a losing finalist in last year's grass final and reached the semis of the clay court event.

She is hoping for a call-up to the England and Great Britain squads announced later in the year.

And Katherine is competing in the under 18s County Cup next month.
