REDDITCH'S trip to basement club Market Drayton was postponed at the weekend because of a frozen pitch.

Kynock's 2-2 draw with Stafford was the only Midlands West One fixture to survive the cold weather.

The Bromsgrove Road club entertain third placed Oswestry on Saturday (1.30pm start) and skipper Tom Hiles will be expecting a searching examination of his side's title credentials.

Oswestry trail Redditch by four points with a game in hand and beat Redditch 4-1 at home earlier in the season.

Hiles expects to be unchanged from the team who would have played Market Drayton.

Redditch Ladies stayed rooted to the foot of the Midlands Region Hockey Womens Conference after starting the second half of the season with a 6-1 loss at high-flying Wrekin.

And it won't get any easier on Saturday, when Redditch entertain league leaders Loughborough.

The Ladies are one point behind county rivals Bournville having played one game more but their fellow strugglers are at home to third from bottom Aldridge on Saturday.
