Two men were arrested after police recovered thousands of pounds of what is believed to be stolen property and food from an address in Beoley.

After executing a warrant on Monday in Seafield Road, police found £1,500 worth of food which is believed to have been stolen from Sainsbury on Christmas Day, as well as lawn mowers, microwaves, garden shredders and electric fans.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen property and have since been bailed as police carry out further inquiries.
