REDDITCH people are being urged to help crack down on drug pushers working on the streets.

Police executed several warrants at the weekend as part of Operation Mandate, a continuing strategy against drugs in the town.

A quantity of Class A drugs were recovered and a motorbike was also seized.

But officers say they need help from the public if they are to make more progress.

People can speak to specially trained officers confidentially about drug dealers or can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Meanwhile, Warwickshire police raided a Studley house on Friday as part of an operation targeting drugs supply in the area.

Operation Oblong saw six people from the village and one from Redditch arrested at an address in The Maltings, off Station Road, after a search warrant was executed.

One was charged with the possession of cannabis resin and will appear before Mid-Warwickshire Magistrates on Monday.

Two others were taken into custody and appeared before Bedworth Magistrates on Saturday after failing to appear previously with regard to non-payment of fines.

The others received official police cautions and have been referred to a drugs referral unit.

Nine officers from Alcester Police Station carried out the raid.
