ALAIN Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg's epic musical Miss Saigon is landing in front of Midlands audiences at The Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre on May 23 with an opening night on May 27.

Cameron Mackintosh's production of this legendary musical has knocked out audiences in London and on Broadway for over ten years and he is bringing the full spectacular, original production to Birmingham where it will be one of the largest shows ever staged.

Set in 1875 during the final days leading up to the American evacuation of Saigon, Miss Saigon is an epic love story about the relationship between an American GI and a young Vietnamese woman.

It first premiered at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London in September 1989. Since then it has become the third most successful musical in the history of British Theatre.

Leo Tavarro Valdez will lead the Birmingham production.

Miss Saigon has music by Claude-Michel Schonbery with lyrics by Richard Maltby Jnr and Alain Boublil, adapted from original French lyrics by Alain Boublil.
