A BROMSGROVE nail technician is due to find out at the end of this month if she has won a prestigious award.
Sarah Edwards, from Saks Hair and Beauty, Bromsgrove, is in the running for the Saks Nail Technician of the Year award.
The award forms part of Saks national awards, held every year to recognise high-achieving people within the 85-salon group, employing more than 1,000 people.
Miss Edwards, who is up against three other technicians for the award, had to apply a full set of artificial nails in two hours for the competition, with judges looking for skill, tidiness, presentation and client care.
Jane Jones, who owns Saks Bromsgrove, located in the David Lloyd Club, on Slideslow Drive, said she was very proud of Miss Edwards.
"This is a fantastic achievement," she said.
"The team is looking forward to the big night in a few weeks time and it's great that the talent at our salon has been recognised by the Saks group at a national level."
The awards are due to be announced on Monday, January 20.
