Bedworth United 3 Redditch United 1

REDDITCH United were mugged of the points for the second time in five days.

New coach Kim Casey's influence on the side was evident early on with United hungry for the ball, passing crisply and creating space.

And everything looked to be going sweetly as Richard Field ghosted in to convert a cross from on-loan Matty Hall after four minutes.

The Halesowen Town winger's inviting dead ball was allowed to sail across the box where Field stole in.

But six minutes later Bedworth were level against the run of play after Chris Partridge beat Nigel Niblett to a slack Richard Beale pass and squared for Ross Harrison to claim a simple goal.

Undeterred, the impressive Hall cut in before firing one inches over before a looping Lee Booth header bounced to safety off the top of the bar.

On 35 minutes Booth made a hash of a Paul Danks centre and four minutes later Bedworth's Rod Oddy cleared off his line from Hall as United continued to swarm forward.

Peter Sutton wasted a glorious opportunity to restore United's advantage on 58 minutes after a trademark surging run from Danks.

And disaster struck on the hour when Guy Sanders found Harrison in the Redditch area and the forward spun Quentin Townsend before firing home across a despairing Neil Olden.

The visitors were still in shock when Harrison claimed his hat-trick six minutes later, Martin Crowley's cross was tamely headed at Olden by the striker but the keeper fumbled under pressure and Harrison was first to react.

Partridge could have had a fourth in the 71st minute and Matty Southwick blazed over for United in the last minute but by that time the contest was over.
