PRESIDENT Maureen Smith welcomed the members with season's greetings and a pleasant glass of sherry.
Special welcome was given to Barbara Moore on her return to the fold after an illness.
It was noted that the boat trip and dinner had been very much enjoyed and Ann Darlow was warmly thanked for organising them.
The January and December birthday girls were given a rendition of happy birthday and items from the county newsletter were read and discussed.
Once business concluded, Sylvia's girls entertained with monologues which brought nostalgic remembrance of the spirit of Christmas.
A splendid supper was served and Christmas carols sung.
Everyone received a gift from Mother Christmas and numerous raffle prizes were won.
Chris Pagett won the competition with her home made cracker. The meeting ended on a happy note with best wishes for the New Year.
