I AM frequently shocked and disappointed by the cut of fashionable wedding dresses worn by young brides today.
Typically, these dresses leave the shoulders, arms and necklines bare.
Ironically many of such brides still wear the veil that symbolises the bride's reservation of her body for her husband.
How far has our society come from a Christian understanding of marriage? Why Christian Ministers permit such wedding dresses in their churches, I do not know. Much as I disagree with the religion of Islam, its adherents should be commended for their concern about western dress sense.
