REDDITCH United have been handed a dream tie in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, if they can get past Leek.

The winners of Tuesday's Second Qualifying Round replay will entertain Northern Counties East League strugglers Arnold Town.

The Nottinghamshire side are second from bottom of the Premier Division after five defeats in five league games.

And they play in a division which is the equivalent of the Midland Alliance.

United were denied a definite place in the next round, and £7,500 in winnings by an agonising last-gasp goal at home to Leek on Saturday.

Richard Field's header set United on their way but after out-of-sorts striker Lee Booth suffered a double miss, Dave MacPherson struck four minutes into injury time to earn a replay for his side.

A win last night would take United's winnings to £16,000 from this season's competition with another £10,000 if they can beat lowly Arnold in the next round.

Town beat Dr Martens Western strugglers RC Warwick in the preliminary round before beating Alliance side Biddulph Victoria, after a replay, and Nantwich Town, another level eight side, at the weekend.

Redditch entertain Cirencester on Saturday (ko 3pm).

If the club wins against Leek the planned league trip to slow-starting Shepshed Dynamo will be postponed.
