A RARE Royal Worcester blush ivory grand vase, cover with intertwined serpent handles, will be featured in a sale this weekend.
The 12-inch high vase, handpainted with sprays of summer flowers and ferns on a square base, date-marked 1871 and in excellent condition, is expected to fetch £2,500.
The North Cotswolds Antiques Fair, at Stanway House, takes place on Saturday and Sunday, January 11-12, in the 14th Century tithe barn for the first time.
Other featured items are a 19th Century olivewood work table, with a lift-up top, two drawers, double barley twist supports and scroll legs which is expected to realise up to £2,500; a plain lidded silver tankard, dated 1770 by Charles Wright of London, estimated at £3,000, and an 18th Century gold pocket watch, dated 1798, with a verge movement by James Moore Santiago French, expected to fetch up to £1,200.
A collection in aid of the Evening News / Acorns Hospice appeal will be held at the sale.
