FOUR new young recruits have signed up to serve Her Majesty in the county's infantry regiment.
The Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Robert Rowden, swore in Matthew George, Gary Palmer, Lyndsey Jones and Mark Westmacott to the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters at The Guildhall.
The four will start infantry training at the Catterick barracks.
"I'm delighted to welcome these new members into the regiment," said Sergeant Richard Page, the recruiting sergeant for the regiment.
"It's nice to have a new career in the New Year."
For more information about how to join the regiment, which is currently based in Chester, call into the Army Careers Office on Foregate Street, Worcester.
