KIDDERMINSTER Harriers hope kick-start their stuttering season tomorrow when they take on Wrexham in a tough Nationwide League Division Three clash at the Racecourse Ground (3pm).

It's the first ever league encounter between the two sides with Harriers boss Ian Britton eager for his side to reproduce the kind of form they displayed on their last visit to Wales.

On that occasion they demolished struggling Swansea City 4-0 on October 29 -- the last time Harriers celebrated victory in the league.

Since then they lost three and drawn one of their league games to leave them in 11th place in the table.

Harriers have failed to win in six outings and face a stiff test tomorrow against a Wrexham side who occupy a place in the play-off zone following an unbeaten six-match run.

Britton said: "I'm not going to cry if the win doesn't come tomorrow. Obviously we would like to win but there are still a lot of points to fight for and still a lot of games to play. We've still got a game in hand and we've just got to keep going."

Harriers will again be without defender Scott Stamps (groin) and utility player Adie Smith (ankle) but will be boosted by the return of influential midfielder Danny Williams.

He is back in action against his former club after missing last Saturday's 2-1 home defeat against York City due to a one-match ban for picking up five yellow cards this season.

While playing for his home town team Wrexham, 23-year-old Williams made 48 appearances, scoring four goals.

Because of the injury problems Britton has been looking into the possibility of attracting another player to Aggborough on loan with his priority being a defender.

He said: "I've spoken to different people but it comes down to money or availability. It hasn't helped to have Stamps and Smith out injured. My options at the back are limited but the other areas of the team are not doing too bad.

"We are just giving silly goals away. But win or lose tomorrow we are still in a good position in the table."

Although they have never met in the Football League, Kidderminster have faced Wrexham on 31 other occasions over the years since 1905. The bulk of them were in the old Birmingham and District League.

The last time they locked horns was in 1988 in the semi-final of the Welsh FA Cup.

Harriers lost the first leg 2-1 and then went down 3-2 in the return encounter at the Racecourse Ground.

FORMCAST: Harriers to suffer a 2-1 defeat.
