INJURY and suspension threaten to hit Evesham United for their trip to Dr Martens Western Division high-flyers Weston-super-Mare tomorrow (3pm).

Manager Phil Mullen has concerns over Jay Powell (knee) who is rated 50:50, while Paul West (hamstring) is doubtful after being substituted in last week's 1-0 win over Bromsgrove Rovers. Matt Gardiner (ankle) is still out.

Steve Lutz is suspended after picking up five bookings while Darren Bullock has left the club by mutual consent, though the Robins retain his registration.

Mark Wolsey, who has not played since September due to an ankle trouble, could be thrust in earlier than Mullen had planned.

"I'll be really disappointed if we can't get those players fit because they've done so well," said Mullen.

"We're not far from getting back on track and if we play like we did against Rovers we can go to Weston and win.

"Mark Wolsey might have to return earlier than expected but I haven't got any worries about throwing him in at the deep end."

One bright spot is the arrival of ex-Plymouth striker Neil Illman, who made his debut as a second half substitute last week.

"His job takes him all over the country and he's not played for a while but he came on and did a bit and you can see he's got ability," said Mullen.
