YOUNG entrepreneurs at Mal-vern's Wyche CE Primary school have used their festive business to raise money for charity.
Year six children have launched and run their own business since September, commissioning designs for Christmas cards, taking orders from friends and parents, producing the cards on computer and selling them.
Every child in the school designed a card, which led the sale of 2,050 in packs of ten.
At least half of the profits, this week of over £50, will go to Cancer Research UK with the children yet to decide on the rest.
"We tend to do some business venture in this term as part of their maths work," said deputy head and year six teacher Debbie Langston. "It's been a huge challenge, but they and I have been pleasantly surprised at what they have done. It's nice to send out a card that your child has made."
