A cheese maker from Worcestershire donated a wheel of Hereford Hop to The Dairy Council's Annual Ceremony of Christmas Cheeses.
The council presented 46 British cheeses to the Chelsea Pensioners at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London. The traditional tribute dates from 1692.
Nicholas Hodgetts, of Malvern Cheesewrights in Whittington, said he was honoured to donate his Hereford Hop, a medal winner at this year's British Cheese Awards.
He said: "We were proud to contribute to this traditional ceremony, celebrating the British dairy industry, as well as honouring our war veterans."
