THE Christmas coffee morning held at Hanover House in Redmarley was most enjoyable. Mrs Dee Humphries and her husband, Bob, together with Dee's mother, Eileen Hullis, warmly welcomed everyone. There was a very festive air.

There was a good attendance and people had travelled from far and near to support this event for the Gloucestershire Air Ambulance, which helped Dee's father, Jim Hullis.

A superb raffle was held with numerous prizes. The first three prize winners were the Reverend Dr Peter Newing, Mrs Noreen Todd and Mrs Wendy Reynolds. The Miss Read book given by the author was won by Mrs Evelyn Cullip. Bring and buy items were varied and attractive with many suitable as Christmas gifts. Bunches of mistletoe were particularly appreciated as were the Christmas flower arrangements. Recycled cards for various occasions proved popular. Dee expressed thanks to all who had supported and helped in any way to make the morning successful with special thanks to the small group of helpers who assist Dee every year. Mrs Jill Bond thanked Dee on behalf of all present for welcoming everyone to her home. The splendid amount of £230 was raised for the Gloucestershire Air Ambulance.
