ON Saturday, December 14, the annual Christmas get-together for Oxenhall residents, families and friends was held. Raymond and Patricia Hill kindly offered their home, The Parks, for this event. Guests met informally in these delightful surroundings. Thirty people were present and a hot supper was served. A raffle was held and there were many lucky winners including Mrs Mary Bowers and Mrs Tricia Brookes. In excess of £200 was raised for St Anne's Church, Oxenhall.
Churchwarden and lay chairman Mr Binny Brookes gave a vote of thanks to the generous host and hostess and to all who had helped and supported the wonderful event.
The annual Christmas carol service was held in St Anne's Church, Oxenhall, on Sunday, December 15.
The church was beautifully decorated and a variety of carols were sung, the final one by candlelight.
On Sunday (December 22) the service will be parish communion at 9.30am. On Christmas Day the Holy Communion service will be at 9am.
