ONE of the UK's leading "fingerstyle" acoustic guitarists is the latest visitor to a Stourport club enjoying a renaissance.
Eric Roche is coming to the Galleon Acoustic Club, based at Stourport Boat Club, on Sunday.
The thriving venue is the spiritual successor to the Galleon Folk Club which was one of the most prestigious haunts on the circuit until the 80s.
Roche, who was born in New York and brought up in Ireland, has performed and given masterclasses all over the world and appeared at the UK's top festivals including Glastonbury and the Cambridge Folk Festival.
He is head of guitar at Guildford's Academy of Contemporary Music.
More information about the gig can be obtained from organiser Mike Smith, who runs Kidderminster's Muzos store, on 01562 755171.
