MAY we add our names to the growing member of objectors to the closure of the Swan Theatre?
From a source in theatre land, we heard that only three theatres in the country have such insecure funding as the Swan, which is why it is so vulnerable.
All the arguments for keeping it open have been well-ventilated.
If "people power" can win, may we have a resounding victory and ensure that the money is found from some government or private sector and the cultural life of Worcester, to which the Swan makes an incalculable contribution, is maintained.
We owe it to the generations past who did so much to establish the theatre and the young generation now and to come, to ensure that Worcester keeps its theatre.
A D and H A FOWLER,
Pershore.
