The bazaar and rummage sale were well supported, and president Margaret Ellis thanked members who had provided items to sell, and the helpers.
The evening's speaker was Wendy Huntley, from Cookley WI, who talked about and demonstrated Painting On Silk. She showed members examples of her craft, such as scarves, waistcoats and ties.
The competition for a silk scarf was won by Hilda Harrison. It was one her husband sent her in 1939.
The Christmas party will be held on Tuesday, January 7 in Franche Village Hall. Members should take a knife, fork, spoon, medium-sized plate and a fruit dish.
