THE turbulent football career of Darren Bullock has taken a fresh twist with the news he has been booted out of Evesham United.

The ex-Worcester City, Huddersfield, Swindon and Bury midfielder has played his last game for the Common Road club according to manager Phil Mullen who cited fitness reasons for the decision.

"We are keeping his registration but he won't play for the club again," said Mullen.

"We had concerns about his fitness and lifestyle and both parties have agreed to call it a day.

"He's been given the chance to buckle down, but has missed four of the last seven training sessions and that hasn't gone down well with me."

Bullock, aged 34, was sent off in his last match for the Robins against Weston and similar disciplinary reasons saw him sacked by John Barton at Worcester last season after two dismissals in six games.

He started his career at St George's Lane before a successful professional career in the Football League where clubs paid more than £650,000 in combined transfer fees for his services.
