A REAL game of two halves saw Stourport fall 27-0 at local rivals Worcester Wanderers in North Midlands One.
The home side dominated the early proceedings with two quick converted tries from intelligent back-row play.
Worcester built on their lead to stand 22-0 ahead by the end of the first half.
But Stourport responded well and the forwards more than matched their opponents in the scrum.
The visitors' usually strong line-out was their weakness however and they failed to put any continual phases of play together.
Stourport were camped on the Worcester line for much of the second period but they could not turn their pressure into points due to excellent defending from the city team.

The final score-line flattered Worcester as a determined mixed seconds and thirds team gave it their all on Saturday.
Stourport's forwards were superior throughout the whole game with Kev Brown dominating the line-out and man-of-the-match Phil Randle dictating the open play.
The decisive difference was Worcester's impressive backs whose clever running and off-loading in the tackle set up all their scores.
Stourport play local rivals Chaddesley Corbett on Saturday.
