CONFIDENT Kidderminster Carolians are promising to put up a fight as they head to higher-ranked Luctonians in North Midlands Cup round two on Saturday (2.15pm).

KCs may lead Midlands West Three (North) but Luctonians are third in Midlands One and hammered Bromsgrove 61-6 at the weekend.

However, the Marlpool Lane side knocked Luctonians out of the same competition three years ago with a 17-10 success.

Club chiefs are demanding high standards at the moment and were not satisfied with Saturday's 25-0 beating of rivals Bridgnorth.

Team manager Phil Knowles warned: "There will need to be a better attitude at Luctonians.

"Teamwork and our game plan seemed to go out of the window at Bridgnorth.

"There were too many individuals who wanted to do their own thing and what looks like a good win should have been far better."
