MOUNTINNEERS moved five points clear at the top of Division Three, after victory in their top of the table clash at Defford and Besford Utd.

The Mount led at the interval with goals from Page and Reid and, despite United replying through Barton and Guscott, a further strike from Reid sealed the points.

Broadway United Reserves moved into fourth place with a fine win at Queens, the highlight being a hat-trick from youngster Bod Alcock.

Riverside gained only their second point of the season after drawing with Norgren, while Wickhamford recorded their first league win at the expense of Badsey Rec Reserves. Two Green goals helped Honeybourne defeat Crowle.

Division Four leaders Golden Cross made it ten wins from ten games as they found the net nine times without reply against past Servicemen's. Brown (4) and Dewick (2) were among the goals.

Shipston Excelsior remain second after a Jewett treble helped defeat Bell United.

Third-placed Hampton WMC were emphatically beaten by Ashton for whom Hunting (2), Haines, Loram, Cooke and Pritchard were on target.

In Division One, leaders Evesham WMC were surprisingly held at Bear, who led through a Bobby Deacon penalty before Perry Beddoes levelled.

Upton Snodsbury moved within two points of the top after a hard-earned win at Moreton Wanderers, Tony McLean gave Upton an early lead before a superb strike from Neil Annis sealed victory.

Paul Jones netted a hat-trick for the third successive match as Bretforton VIC won the local derby with Badsey Rec.

Two goals apiece from Lewis and White helped Mickleton Rangers to victory at Tewkesbury Town, while Inkberrow led at Willersey until a Steve Gittus header levelled matters.

Bredon became the first Division Two team to take a point off Ambassador as the teams shared six goals.

Red Horse consolidated third place defeating Lower Moor with goals from Danny Harris, Rob Harris, Twine, Williams and Miller.

Double strikes from Jordan and Hawkins helped Broadway to a comfortable win over Moreton Town, while Salford Rovers won a close encounter with Peopleton.

Pershore defeated Pebworth with goals from Brant and Lambert, the losers replying through McGinlay.
