Evesham Utd U-10 1,

Newtown Spts Jnrs 1

OLLY Scarrott's early strike was cancelled out before half-time after United failed to make the most of almost constant pressure.

The tables turned after the break and Evesham were forced to withstand a Newtown barrage that failed to find reward mainly thanks to good displays from Hayden Grantham and Jordon Willis.

Peopleton U-15 6, Worcester Saints 2

HIGH flying Saints were sunk as a depleted Peopleton produced their best display of the season.

James McCrum, Mark Bellamy and Gareth Wolford all struck twice to secure a fine victory in a match that saw both sides play some excellent football.

Midfielder Darak Duffy and attacker Jack Bostock caught the eye for the happy hosts in what was a fabulous team performance.

Littleton Colts U-11 9, Salford 0

A HARD working home side finally had fortune on their side to lift their spirits after a tough campaign.

Littleton dominated virtually throughout and hat-tricks from Jamie Banks, Chris Handy and Jack Philpott capped a great team effort.

Ferndale 2, Norton Rgrs U-15 3

NORTON cemented their top spot with victory against a side that could have overtaken them if they won their matches in hand.

It was a surprise just how easily Rangers dominated the first half when goals from Ashley Powell and Scott Williams provided a two-goal interval cushion.

Ferndale came out buzzing after the break and reduced the arrears following a free-kick.

An unstoppable volley after a neat passing move then made it 2-2 before Ashley Knight produced a brilliant winner, leaving four defenders in his wake before finding the net at the second attempt.

Matthew Williams was named player of the match for his tireless tackling and running in the absence of key midfielder James Muddiman.

Newtown Spts Colts 0

HENRY Woods maintained his goalscoring form when he threaded home a Louis Brown pass.

The provider wasn't to be outdone and quickly notched up a brace, the second a conversion from Sam Ford's cross.

Colts' keeper Ashlea Brewer was in inspired form but Andrew Powell was on hand to convert a James Bearcroft pass to make it 4-0 at half-time.

Soon into the second half Evesham increased their lead when Ford fired home.

Still Colts came forward and goalkeeper Leon Ballard was forced to dive to his right to hold a well-struck shot, while Owen Jones was quick to deal with any breaks.

Bearcroft was in commanding form and, following Brown's creative play, Woods hit another three goals in eight minutes.

The first followed a fine passing move between Bearcroft and Brown, the second a long-range effort and the third a run and shot which left the goalkeeper stranded.

THE visitors opened the scoring early on in a competitive tussle but Ben Hoskins levelled with a well-struck shot.

Hoskins soon netted his second to put the home side in front and a well-worked move from midfield resulted in Chris Greenwell slotting home to give the home side a 3-1 interval advantage.

Early in the second half, Hoskins completed a deserved hat-trick although the visitors continued to push forward and pulled one back with ten minutes remaining.

Two fine saves late on from Broadway keeper Josh Treglown secured victory for the home side.

Evesham Utd U-10 0,

Drakes Broughton 3

THE muddy pitch made it hard going for both teams but Drakes took an early lead with a goal from Tom Bird.

Evesham created chances but good defending by Ashley Lane and Sebastian Mann denied them.

The second half saw Ross Day and Bird both find the net to wrap an away win.

Littleton Jnrs U-14 1, Evesham Colts 3

LITTLETON were unable to turn possession into goals despite hitting back in the second half after trailing 2-0 at the interval.

Will Gayton grabbed both Evesham goals before James Toppin halved the deficit.

It was end to end action with the next goal crucial and it went to Colts courtesy of Patty Watson. Defender Karl Boulton was voted Evesham's player of the match.

Salford Rvrs U-14 0, Peopleton 4

JAMES Allan bagged a hat-trick as Peopleton easily overcame their hosts who struggled after a lengthy lay-off.

Allan gave the visitors a two-goal cushion and the points were wrapped up before the break when Ross Sailes made it 3-0 after fine work from Alex Spencer

Although Rovers lifted their game in the second half with Josh Cocker impressive on the wing, Allan completed his treble before being substituted along with several other key players as Peopleton eased to victory. Sub Mark Turner caught the eye late on.

Nick Read was named Salford's player of the match for consistent defending and effort.

Evesham FDS U-11 1, Evesham Utd 0

ALTHOUGH the effort was never in doubt both teams struggled for control of this local derby.

Chances were squandered at both ends before a fine flowing move linking Jack Goddall and Tom Goodwin released Scott Clarke to strike goalwards. United's goalkeeper did well to parry the vicious shot but the ball fell to the feet of skipper Kyle Sanders who prodded home.

The second half continued like the first with both sides scrapping for possession.

United were rewarded with a number of corners only to find Jared Sexton totally dominant in the air and able to relieve any pressure.

FDS battled and hit on the break as United pushed forward looking for a share of the points and would have settled the result had United's keeper bot been in inspired form.

The final whistle saw the points go to FDS although both teams will have played better this season.

Bredon Colts U-9 3,

Evesham Utd Robins 4

ROBINS moved to the top of the Ambassador League standings after Saturday's hard-fought win.

David Stringer opened the scoring with a well-taken free-kick into the top corner before Bredon scored a deserved equaliser through Liam Robinson.

After the break, United's lead was restored when Josh Downey made an excellent run to the byline before crossing for Daniel Francis to stab the ball home.

However, Robinson raced clear again to level but Robins looked to have made the game safe with two goals from excellent moves.

Elliott Grady scored with a left-shot into the far post before Stringer grabbed his second with a left-foot strike into the corner. Robinson completed his hat-trick to make for an exciting finish.

Evesham Utd U-13 3,

Newtown Spts Jnrs 5

EVESHAM will feel unlucky to lose against one of the Mercian League's strongest sides after a game in which either side could have won.

Newtown opened the scoring early on only for Jamie Kerr to equalise after an excellent dribble and finish.

Early in the second half Kerr put Evesham in front but, within a couple of minutes, Newtown had drawn level.

Play was end-to-end throughout but it was Newtown's turn to go 4-2 in front before Jamie Miles put Evesham back in contention with a header from a corner.

Newtown, though sealed the points after they reacted the quickest when a goalbound effort stuck in the mud.

Littleton Jnrs U-11 2, Pershore T 0

LITTLETON returned to their winning ways with a great victory.

Sam Steele opened the scoring with a great shot and it remained 1-0 at the interval.

During the second half, Steele struck a post but Pershore kept the pressure on forcing Littleton's goalkeeper, Jack Dell, to make some fantastic saves.

With ten minutes left on the watch, Jake Nightingale secured the win with a volley into the top corner.
