A CHEF'S scheme to cook up some fun in the lives of lonely singles has boiled over since it was featured in the Evening News.
Jennifer Aston Mills has been inundated with calls from people hungry for love since her match-making menu hit the headlines.
Her recipe for success is a relaxing evening in her Worcester home, with a complimentary glass of wine to set the scene, a cookery demonstration to tempt the appetite and a tasty meal to share with new-found friends.
The idea has stirred the interest of around 20 men and women, as many as she can accommodate in her Shrubbery Avenue kitchen.
"The first people who called were all women. It took the men a bit longer to respond, but I have ended up with more or less even numbers," said Ms Mills.
"The response has certainly convinced me there is a real need for this kind of thing. There are so many lonely people out there."
Experienced in giving cookery demonstrations and used to putting people at ease, she is confident of the success of her first singles' evening on Thursday, January 16.
Ms Mills is also cooking up plans for a Valentine's Day special event, followed by visits to famous restaurants and gourmet trips to France.
