A MUCH-loved wife and mother has died after a collision with a car in Kidderminster.
Police believe Shirley Royle was attempting to cross the A451 Stourport Road, close to the Foley Fish Bar, when she was in collision with a Renault Megane Scenic.
The 46-year-old died in Worcestershire Royal Hospital at 5.15am yesterday.
Her husband Dan said she was a devoted mother-of-four.
"We are still in shock and the news has not really sunk in," said Mr Royle, of Tomkinson Drive, Kidderminster.
"She was a very much-loved wife and mother and we will miss her dreadfully."
The accident happened at around 5.50pm on Saturday, December 14.
Two ambulances attended the scene and took Mrs Royle to hospital where she later died.
The driver of the Renault, a woman from the Bridgnorth area, was unhurt.
"We are asking for anyone who was in the area at around that time, whether or not they saw the actual collision take place, to contact us, as they may be able to assist with our enquires," said PC Nick Ferguson of Kidderminster Police Divisional Traffic Unit.
