A WORCESTER school has been busy boxing up Christmas presents for children less fortunate than themselves.
Pupils at Sunnyside School and Nursery, Barbourne, have packaged and wrapped 130 shoeboxes containing toys, games, books, crayons, necklaces, stickers, gloves and hats.
The boxes will be sent to children all over the world, as part of the county-wide Operation Christmas Child, organised by the Samaritans.
"The children really got into it," said Mitzi Edwards, headteacher at the 120-pupil school for two to nine-year-olds.
"Some of the children did more than one box."
The pupils took the boxes to the Kwik-Fit Centre, in The Tything, Worcester, which is a central collection point. From there the boxes will be shipped overseas.
