REGARDING the letter (You Say, November 7) from Ahmed Raza, I note that he uses the phrase "look what your capitalist state has done to its people".
From that statement it does appear that he does not belong to our state.
Blaming PM Tony Blair or Bush for all our domestic violence is quite a strange viewpoint. And why should "Imperialist Blair" (his words), want Afghanistan to be like us?
Judging by the number of people from that part of the world who are trying to enter our country, it would seem that a lot would like to live here.
After seeing the barbaric way that women and very young girls are treated by their menfolk in Afghanistan, this country to them, would be like paradise, I am sure.
