I FEEL that something needs to be done about the poor attitude of Tesco Express towards the community of London Road and Wyld's Lane.
They claim it was not their wish to put others out of business, rather that they wanted to provide a choice. We already had a choice - Pause for Thought, J & D News, Harry's Wines and the Giagnotti's.
Tesco must have known before they invaded our neighbourhood that they would unbalance the trade, and thus take advantage of the situation.
They have already driven Pause for Thought out of business, and don't seem to be bothered by this. Indeed, the management probably rejoices in the fact that they can now poach even more trade.
