VITAL Spark, Malvern's West Gallery choir, is making a number of appearances in the run-up to Christmas.
The choir was formed in 1992 to keep alive the West Gallery style of church music. This was once the dominant style of music in English churches but died out almost completely in the 19th Century.
Vital Spark will be singing at Worcester's Victorian Christmas fair on Saturday, November 3. They will appear at 1.30pm and 3.15pm in the marquee at Angel Place and Broad Street.
On Friday, December 6, at 8pm, they will give a Christmas carol concert at Old St Martin's Church in Worcester's Cornmarket.
And on Wednesday, December 18, they will be back at West Malvern Village Hall for another carol concert, also at 8pm.
