THE music of Mozart will be taking centre stage at Malvern Concert Club's next event on Thursday, November 28.

The concert is a chance to hear a group of well-established chamber musicians, most of whom have visited the club before as members of the Florestan Trio and other ensembles.

They will be playing the Duo for Violin and Viola in G K423, Divertimento for String Trio K563, Quartet in D minor K421 and Quintet in D K593.

Anthony Marwood, professor of violin at the Guildhall School of Music, has played with most of the UK's major orchestras since his 1993 debut.

Catherine Manson's performing career has encompassed a wide variety of chamber music, and she is first violinist with the London Haydn Quartet.

Louise Williams began her career as a violinist, founding the Endellion Quartet and later diverted to the viola.

Her recordings include the complete Bartk and Dvork quartets.

Judith Busbridge is principal viola in the London Mozart Players and the Monteverdi Orchestra, and is a member of the Dante String Quartet, the Touchwood piano quartet and the Kegelstatt Trio.

One of Britain's foremost cellists, Richard Lester has earned distinction as a concerto and recital soloist and as an accomplished chamber musician.

The concert, at 7.30pm, is at Malvern Festival Theatre, and tickets (£12, concs £11, students £5) are available from the box office on 01684 892277.
